I watched a documentary on PBS tonight called Standard of Perfection: Show Cats. I was in hysterics during the whole thing! It reminded me a lot of the movie Best in Show. Here's a clip (starring a cat named Nicole Kidman that totally freaks out) from it that I found on youtube:

I actually saw a little bit of the show before bed. I was amazed by how the people had 2 and 3 plus bedrooms for all their cats. I like cats, but not that much. Interesting but a wee-bit strange if you ask me.
I totally understand a cat getting mad about being held and paraded around like a scarf. You won't see that at a dog show. Of course you really couldn't do that to the big breeds like Great Danes without a forklift, but who I am to quibble with details?
